The Secret to Getting Rich in RuneScape: Runecrafting

I've discovered the secret to getting rich in RuneScape. It's Runecrafting, pure and simple. Although when I started the Rune Secrets quest I clicked through most of the NPC dialogue, I now remeber the wizard saying something like runecrafting was one of the best-kept secrets of RS, or something like that. Now, I know why.

Nature Runes.

These can go for up to 300 gp PER RUNE! Once anybody gets to level 44 runecrfting, they can get 42 natures per load (taking anywhere from 1minute to 1 minute 45 seconds). Once someone is level 91 runecrafting they can get 84 nats per load! Now, multiply that by 300 gp each, and this is what you get:

For the 1min/load rate, you need a constant supply of Amulets of Glory (28 with access to the fountain of heroes for recharging reccomended), the Rune Mysteries quest completed, Boots of Lightness (not strictly required) and 42 level runecrafting (the min level that you can craft natures at). Death Plateau Quest and Harold the Insane

Arrgh! I just spent 2 hours and about 10K on Asgarnian ales on the Death Plateau quest!!!

I kept talking to Harold, a guard. I had to get him drunk on ale for him to eventually gamble with me, lose a lot, and then have to write me and I.O.U.

The IOU was the item needed for the entire quest to go forward. It has a combonation on the back for the quest, but you have to have the IOU ITSELF :((. It turns out that I had to go talk to another NPC for Harold to give me the IOU. So Stupid! I gave Harold 100 ales before I carefully read the RS Tips page on the quest.

No screens, I was too frustrated.
